THE LITTLE-KNOWN LIFE OF ANTS…

A TALK BY GINO BRIGNOLI

14th MARCH, 7PM-8.45PM.

ST MICHAEL’S CHURCH, ELMWOOD RD, CHISWICK W4 3DZ.

We are excited to have Gino Brignoli visit Chiswick to talk about – ants!  Ants play an important part in ecosystems worldwide.  Biodiversity and healthy ecosystems result in a healthy planet.  Ants aid decomposition, aerate soil and are fantastic pest controllers.  On a gorier note, some ants are slavers, rebels and commit regicide.  Wow!

Gino has great knowledge of insects and an interest in urban wildlife.  He has an MSc in Ecology and Evolution from Queen Mary University, volunteered with the Lepidoptera department and Soil Biodiversity Group at the Natural History Museum, is Finance Controller of the Earthworm Society of Britain, and is the Biodiversity Officer at Cody Docks. He is a knowledgeable, fascinating, and passionate speaker.  Join us for an evening of revelation about an insect that we rarely hear about or understand.

  • £5.00 entry per adult, pay at the door.
  • 12yrs and under, free of charge.  Suitable for 6yrs+ (we encourage a young audience!)
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Tea/Coffee/Biccies and a Raffle
