We are delighted to announce that our Founder and Chairman, Joanne Gilbert, has been awarded the Zoological Society of London’s Stamford Raffle’s Medal. This most prestigious award recognizes Jo’s tireless work in helping improve the environment for Chiswick’s wildlife and in encouraging people of all ages to take an informed interest in the local environment.
Joanne said “It was a shock to be told I was being presented with this prestigious award, yet a very nice one!” Our wildlife need our help more than ever. The more people we can encourage to create habitats in our greenspaces the better. Every little helps! There are hundreds, if not thousands of people and groups that do the same as WildChiswick, whether it is running a rescue, planting community gardens or making their own gardens wildlife friendly. Together, we can make a difference! Many thanks to our volunteers at WildChiswick, we can’t do what we do without you!”
