Whiskers are crucial for many mammal species.  They are used for navigation and finding food.  Each species has whiskers that have adapted over time to serve a purpose vital for there survival.  Not all whiskers are found on the face!

Dr Robyn Grant has been researching whiskers and their importance for many years.  We are honoured that she will be travelling down for Manchester University to talk to us in Chiswick about her work.  You may be surprised to learn that humans show signs of having whiskers in their past history!
