Wildlife adaptations to survive the Urban Environment

We are delighted to have Dr Philip Barker from Reading University join us again.

13th November, 2024.  St Michael’s Church, Elmwood.  7pm-8.30pm. £5 per person. payable on the night via card or cash.  Children 12yrs and under FREE. must be accompanied by an adult.

Philip will talk to us about both the physical and behavioural changes that have occurred in our wildlife as they adapt to survive in urban environments.

As our population increases, and we take over more of the countryside destroying or fragmenting natural habitats, other species are having to adapt to survive.  Not all animals can do this and Philip will show us how those who have successfully adapted, have managed to do so.

From foxes, bats, birds and water voles, come along to hear how survival of the fittest has really made its mark over the past 30 years within our wildlife.
