Working with Greenspace Information for Greater London (Gigl), WildChiswick has designed an easy form for Chiswick residents to record species they see around Chiswick.
All you need is a good clear photo of the animal (if possible)
go to www.wildchiswick.com/naturesurvey
Fill out the form!
All the data entered will go to the main Gigl database. This data is used by Hounslow Council, developers and ecologists to make sound and science-based decisions about habitats and stragegies such as nature recovery. WildChiswick will use the data to assess the biodiversity across Chiswick. Conservation begins with data. You cannot conserve what you do not know about!
Give it a go! It can be fun for all ages, help young and old learn more about the wildlife around us and be part of citizen science to help nature.
Note: more details regarding Gigl and the value of recording species can be found at the beginning of the Survey Form here.
